Introduction
Freemasonry is the world's oldest universal
fraternity,
which believes in the
brotherhood of man under the Fatherhood of God.
Freemasonry strives to achieve moral
improvement, family values, civic betterment, freedom of thought and
tolerance. Freemasons around the world volunteer and contribute to
such things as medical research, hospitals, homes for the elderly,
families and young people in crisis, scholarships, bursaries and
many other charitable causes.
Simply put, Freemasons believe that good
persons should encourage each other
to
become better persons,
and then, regardless of economic resources, work together
benevolently to help in the community. Based on these strong
foundations of morality and conscience, it is not surprising that
Freemasonry is the world's largest philanthropic institution,
seeking to provide relief for suffering humanity.
Freemasonry is a
fraternity,
absolutely not a secret society. As such, it is open for membership
applications and has modes of recognition. Freemasonry is definitely
not a religious cult or a political group. Freemasons never discuss
religion or politics, yet membership strictly requires belief in a
Supreme Being. Furthermore, Freemasons are expected to be model
citizens, faithful followers of their respective religions and loyal
patriots of their respective countries.
Membership is open to all men of integrity and goodwill, irrespective of
colour or creed, on condition that they profess a belief in a Supreme
Being. How they choose to worship Him is not of interest to us.
Freemasonry brings men of goodwill together to enjoy one another’s
company and to continue our traditions dating back hundreds of years. It
fulfils as great a need to-day as it did then.
Freemasonry is universal and our Lodges are to be found throughout the
world .It is said that the sun never sets on Freemasonry. This
web-site enables our Brethren near and far to be close to us at all
times.
We hope that non-Masonic visitors to the web-site will find it
interesting and informative. If you require further information, please
do not hesitate to contact us.
I extend warmest greetings to all our visitors.

Reverend Malcolm C G Lane JP
